In July 2006 Xango initiated a corporate relationship by sponsoring local PRO soccer team, Utah's Real Salt Lake's match with European giants, Real Madrid, then featuring the best known soccer player in the world, England captain David Beckham in a match that drew 45,000 spectators and a televised audience of 250,000.

The Xango Cup is to become a bi-annual event, the public face of a strategic alliance between the two clubs, with the aim of developing a Utah-based residential soccer academy and for Real Salt Lake to utilise Madrid as RSL's pre-season Spring-training base.
A few months later Xango's relationship with Real Salt Lake was further cemented when Xango becoming the first front-name jersey sponsor in American PRO soccer's history. Every week of the season, the name Xango will be beamed into homes all across the USA, every time Real Salt Lake play.
With the signing of teen sensation Freddy Adu, arguably Americas's best young player, shirt sales are expected to go through the roof. This is corporate advertising of the highest kind, greatly enhancing Xango's brand image with many millions of sports fans across the USA.
