PR Cash
In 2005 there was a bit of a buzz one of the internet marketing software gurus released a product called Press Equalizer, which automated the process of submitting press releases in the hope of getting a search engine boost. What happened, of course, was that some pretty dumb internet marketers started sending out poorly written press releases for every crummy product under the sun and a lot of virtual SPAM was published...ignored and deleted.
On the other hand, Marlon Sanders has recently released, PR Cash, which details how he uses press releases to keep a steady drip of clients (sometimes a torrent) coming to his websites. It's a 120 page (3-hour) interview with Elaine Floyd an author and master "mistress?" of cheap publicity and press releases, who's:
-
published 6+ books
-
dozens of magazine articles
-
served as a consultant to high-profile corporations &
-
spoken to industry trade groups including the American Booksellers Association
...and before she became a published author, used to regularly turn a $1,000 investment into $50-100,00 of FREE publicity. Let's get this straight, press releases:
-
cost money to run each campaign, they aren't FREE advertising &
-
are product based (so they wouldn't really be appropriate for a site like this)
This is one of the few ebooks that really deserves to be printed out because much of it is high-powered stuff and you'll probably need several readings to take in properly.
I have to admit, there's so much detail and experience here that I felt I was a real greenhorn in the presence of these two masters (see the sales page for the massive range of topics that PR Cash covers).
My gut feeling is that even though this is a Marlon Sanders product, I can't see PR Cash becoming much of a best-seller...simply because it's not sexy. I mean, who really cares about press releases? Like a number of nuggets that I've presented on this site, that only makes PR Cash more valuable because few of your competitors care or even know about this resource (and the bizarre cover graphic doesn't help matters, either). Even with its relatively steep price, PR Cash is easily worth double if you're prepared to use it.
